I currently work at Clara Barton Children’s Center in Bethesda, where I assist with early childhood education, supervise play, and help with daily care routines. I’ve also worked as a camp counselor at Camp Sonshine, leading activities and helping young children feel safe, included, and engaged. The most important part of being a nanny is helping children grow and learn in a safe and caring environment. I believe it’s important because, as a nanny, you have the chance to teach kids important skills and support their development every day. Nannies play a key role in a child’s life by providing guidance, encouragement, and stability, which helps build their confidence and independence. Being involved in a child’s growth is meaningful because it allows you to make a positive impact on their future.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don’t have one single favorite nanny moment since this is my first time babysitting, but some of my favorite memories from working with children over the years have been the simple, heartwarming moments—like seeing their faces light up when they see me, building strong bonds, and watching them grow. I remember one time when I was having a particularly hard week, and as soon as I walked into work, the kids were so excited to see me. Their energy and smiles completely turned my day around and reminded me how much I love working with children.
