Dear Parent
My name is Karla, I am 22 years old and just graduated from Rutgers University in NJ. I am currently studying for the LSATs and wish to apply to law school in the upcoming year. I began babysitting for the first time this May and worked for a Japanese and Peruvian family. During my time, I have managed play dates with two children on several occasions. In my opinion, the age between 7 and 12 are the best years of childhood! This is the age where they take their curiosity and connect it to their reality. I have also noticed 3rd grade is the time where they no longer read to understand, but read to study and I have helped the last boy I babysit overcome that difficulty. I have an 8-year-old brother whom I've helped raise, cook, and clean after while my parents worked. I am the oldest of three siblings and have always been responsible for taking care of younger kids.Aside from being patient and punctual, I enjoy the job, and keeping the child safe is my number one priority.
