Hi there! My name is Karla, and I absolutely love working with kids. For the past three years, I’ve been a nanny for children of all ages, and it’s been such a joy to watch them grow, learn, and thrive. I used to volunteer for a center in which i would take care of children of various ages for around 3 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love spending time with kids doing a variety of fun and engaging activities. I enjoy arts and crafts, like painting and making DIY projects, as well as outdoor fun like chalk art, and going on nature walks. I also love cooking or baking simple recipes together and doing hands-on activities like puzzles or building with LEGOs. Reading books, storytelling, and imaginative play like dress-up or fort-building are some of my favorites too. Whether it’s educational games, relaxing movie nights, or active games outside, I always aim to create a safe and fun environment that kids will enjoy!

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I helped a child I was caring for overcome their fear of trying something new. We were working on an arts and crafts project, and they were hesitant to use scissors because they thought they would mess up. With a little encouragement and showing them how to use the scissors safely, they ended up cutting out shapes perfectly and created an amazing craft. Seeing their face light up with pride and excitement was such a rewarding moment—it reminded me why I love being a nanny and supporting kids in building their confidence.
