I met the current mom I work for through my mother. They are both nurses and worked together. I started taking care of her son when he was 2 months old. Shortly after, she became pregnant with her 2nd and we had intended for me to continue being their children's nanny after their 2nd was born, however, within the last few months, the child was displaying red flags for autism. Within that time the mother and I were working with developmental and speech therapists to help him along. A change in plans, due to the little boys delays, made his mom decide to work part time at night so they could work with him exclusively. It was an unfortunate change in plans for all of us.
