Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I Love all types of indoor and outdoor activities. I love using food while doing homework for addition or subtraction and fractions. I LOVE reading to kids and telling stories that interest kids. Especially ones on biology and science. I love watching kids movies and singing to them. I love singing to kids and dancing with them. I love to do creative writing exercises and help them learn cursive or lettering. I would love helping with science projects and even help them with arts and crafts. I can draw with chalk, jump rope with them, as well as play tag with them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Learning the parents habitual practices around their children, Learning their rules and regulations, and setting boundaries. I believe it's important to know so that I do not overstep any boundaries that parents would not want me to cross.
Examples: Bed times, Homework, diet for children, tv/technology time, Cleaning habits and overall care.
I want to be as effective to the child as I am to the parent. I require knowledge of allergies, Medicine if I will be giving it out, and what the parents goals are for me and the child.

My experience with special needs children...
I grew up around neuro-divergents and have helped care-takers with them in schools to figure out what they want or need. I have bathed them, groomed them, and have dressed them. One of my friends had a cousin that was special needs and I would help them and entertain the young lady with special needs. I have dealt with mute special needs, children on the autism spectrum, as well as deaf and blind children. None of this was paid, all of it was life experience.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment as a nanny or babysitter is when children smile. At any moment, if they are smiling, my job is worth-while. If they are laughing, then I consider myself lucky.
