More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
With over five years of childcare experience, I’ve worked as a nanny, teacher, and surf instructor. In Bend, Oregon, I provided full-time care for an 18-month-old, organizing play-based learning, outdoor adventures, and a structured routine to support development. As a live-in nanny in Sardinia, Italy, I cared for four children aged 6 to 13, managing routines, meals, and creative games to support language skills, fostering learning and confidence.
As a TEFL-certified teacher, I taught students globally, tailoring lessons to diverse cultures and needs. In Mexico and the Maldives, I taught surf lessons focused on safety, guiding children in skill-building that boosted confidence and respect for the ocean. These experiences shaped my ability to meet each child’s needs with empathy, patience, and creativity, making learning safe, engaging, and fun.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
As a dedicated nanny, I enjoy engaging children in play-based learning activities such as nature scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, interactive storytime, cooking together, building projects, music and movement, simple science experiments, gardening activities, playing at age-appropriate parks, and puzzle and board game time. These activities foster creativity, critical thinking, and social skills.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel valued and supported. It’s essential to build strong, trusting relationships with the children in my care, as this allows them to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. I strive to provide a stimulating atmosphere that encourages curiosity and creativity while promoting emotional and social development.
Being attentive to each child’s unique needs and interests is crucial in guiding them through various activities that enhance their skills and confidence. I prioritize open communication, active listening, and positive reinforcement, which helps children develop essential life skills and resilience. Ultimately, my goal is to empower children to become independent thinkers and confident individuals, ready to face the world around them.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny memory comes from my year as a live-in nanny in Italy, where I cared for four amazing children. When I first arrived, they had limited English vocabulary, but through playful activities, storytelling, and daily conversations, I witnessed their language skills flourish. By the end of my time there, they spoke with newfound confidence and enthusiasm for learning, which was incredibly rewarding to see.
What truly made this experience special was the deep bond we formed. The children became like a second family to me, and we shared countless moments of joy and laughter. Whether we were exploring the local parks, cooking together, or enjoying family game nights, each day was filled with love and discovery.
