A little bit about me

Hi i’m Kate! I love ceramics, weaving, baking for my friends and loved ones and going outside for long walks and hikes. I just graduated with my Bachelors in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in fibers and ceramics. I primarily weave textiles but I also love weave baskets and throw pottery and other functional wears. In addition to hand-based processes I love to draw and practice print making. While I have a heavy creative hand in the arts I am also a huge baker, I used to bake for pHlour bakery( a local family owned bakery) and still work for the Lincoln Park farmers market for them. Now I primarily bake for myself and loved ones by experimenting with fun seasonal produce and try to always branch out with new ingredients. I’m always looking to learn and grow which is why I am passionate about creative activities and keeping my body active through climbing, yoga, lifting, and long walks.
