My name is Kate. I have worked with children of all ages for 13 years. I am a momma of two beautiful girls. (11 and 13). As an undergrad I studied Speech and Language Pathology. I have surrounded myself with kids from ages 6 weeks - Middle Schoolers. I would be more than happy to discuss further if I even peak your interest. In a nutshell…no child is alike…it takes patience, and understanding. For instance a teething cry is far different from a hungry cry. Moreover, a non-verbal response from a school age kiddo might need a little time, but there is always room for “cookies and milk” to make things okay until

The most important part about being a nanny...
As a nanny, I appreciate the idea of family. I believe in consistency and when that isn’t possible I fill in to be a constant helpful person.
My experience with special needs children...
I had a brother with Special Needs. I have worked with kiddos on the Spectrum and navigated many different ideas and problem solved many more that have rewarded fantastic outcomes. I’m not perfect. However I am open to following any guidance a family requests.
The most important part about being a nanny...
This asked me to describe a moment that made me nanny worthy…well I was definitely thrown up on, put my finger in a diaper of BM, and put two babies to sleep with ear infections. That was just beginning at 7:30 am.
