A little bit about me

My name is Kate and I am the Mother of 2 adult children. My son is a fifth grade teacher and my daughter is an AP World History teacher.
A 12 year VA resident, originally from MA, i moved here 13 credits shy of my Masters in gifted education. I was long term substitute teacher for Montessori, public and private schools and a volunteer teacher at Nature Centers and the Richmond Science Museum.
I Nannied for a local family this summer whose European grandparents are coming to live with them in November. I love children and providing opportunities to broaden their worlds. I am especially crafty and nature oriented, stern but loving, articulate and encouraging, well-educated and bring depths of experience.
I worked in the corporate world before my children were born and in sales when they went to college. Recovery from a work related car accident enabled me to re-evaluate my real passions. I am not a teenager or young adult flirting with Nannying as a fill- in thing to do. It is my gift
