Hi! My name is Kate and I am a 20-year-old nursing student in Jacksonville Florida. I am looking to care for children in the openings of my student schedule. I am a military spouse and will especially have time to care for your kiddos when my husband is on deployment. My fall 2024 semester is more free than my next semester would be, but I would love to help out in any way possible for your family. I have a lot of experience caring for children due to being the oldest of 4 children with the youngest being 6 years old in the present day. I have babysat for many families in my church and have experience working with special needs children. I do have my cpr certification and I am also a certified nurse's assistant. Playing outdoors and going on adventures. Teaching them how to cook or bake. Color and craft time is always a favorite!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Teaching children and engaging their curiosity. Making sure their brains don't stay stagnant and just seeing their face light up when learning and understanding something new.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for a child that was 14 with a cognitive level of a 3-year-old. I have also cared for children with ADHD and briefly encountered many other special needs in my volunteer work.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was watching a couple of kids who decided to put on a theatre performance for me acting out stories that were partly known and partly from their imagination. I loved watching how their brains built the narratives.
