A little bit about me

With a passion for working with children that began in my teenage years, I have dedicated my career to fostering their growth and development. I hold a degree in Spanish and Education, and spent a transformative year in Spain teaching English to children ages 2-6. I taught at a preschool for over five years, where I honed my skills in creating engaging curriculum tailored to enhance children’s fine motor skills and promote independence. I have potty trained many children while working in the preschool and take an importance on developing independence skills.
My journey in childcare has also included nannying for infants and toddlers, allowing me to apply my love for creating enriching learning environments. This passion led me to pursue a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Salem State, where I am currently taking night classes to specialize in pediatric OT. I believe in the power of play-based learning and am committed to helping children thrive while having fun!

I have had many students during my time as a Preschool Teacher with disabilities/Autism. I worked closely with their OT/PTs to provide them with the best care possible and to incorporate them into the daily classroom routine.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I take pride in allowing a child to express themselves and grow independently while having fun through play-based activities. One of my big feats as a preschool teacher was teaching them how to put their shoes on. It took a lot of time and patience, but seeing how excited they were accomplishing a task others might find simple is so rewarding! I also just love kids and create a strong relationship with each child I work with, which makes it all worth it!
