Hello! My name is Katherine, and I recently completed a bachelor's degree at UAB. My passion is holistic nutrition and natural health. I love to cook tasty, nutrient dense meals, and I enjoy spending my free time outdoors. I love being around children of all ages, answering their many questions, and helping encourage them to be the best version of themselves.

As a sitter, I am very hands on. A day with me will include lots of outdoor time, reading, and exploration of your child's passions and interests. The children I watch will not watch TV, nor will they want to. Our days will be full, engaging, and exciting. In addition to babysitting the kids, I would be thrilled to help clean, run errands, and cook healthy (and delicious) meals. I have cared for infants, toddlers, and pre-teens. I enjoy working with every age group as they all have unique qualities that make babysitting fun!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking children on fun, educational field trips, spending time with them outdoors, reading meaningful literature to them, and helping them discover their own passions. I personally do not enjoy TV, so I would, instead, fill our time with activities that encourage connection and fulfillment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny brings meaning to my life. It fulfills me to know that I not only am helping parents, but that I am also helping encourage a child to be the best version of themselves. I do everything in my power to ensure the children I nanny learn how to be passionate, independent, kind, and confident. I want to leave a lasting impact on children, ensuring they know the value of life and all it has to offer.

My experience with special needs children...

I have never worked with a special needs child before, but I am open to doing so!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I deeply enjoy taking the children I nanny to my parents' small farm. In the past, many of the kids I babysat for had never seen a chicken, horse, or pig in person. Watching them awe at animals they had never previously seen is undoubtedly one of my favorite activities.
