I have 5 years of experience teaching elementary school, so I a very comfortable with managing behaviors, and ensuring kids are able to have fun in a safe environment. Prior to this, I spent multiple years doing one-night as well as long term childcare for multiple families.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Almost anything! I like getting outdoors and being active, so a trip to the park or a long walk is never out of the question. I'm also a very creative person, and enjoy reading. Both of these are hobbies I like to share with kids I work with through different activities as well. I would also be a great fit for a kiddo who wants to get busy in the kitchen, with experience teaching kids cooking classes and a love of cooking/baking myself.
My experience with special needs children...
My undergraduate degree is in Special Education. I am comfortable working with children of any need level, I have never professionally cared for special needs children, but was exposed to a lot of different need types throughout my undergraduate program, and like to think of myself as a quick learner.
