Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Before becoming a nanny, I taught a class of toddlers at a local daycare for three years. I am very experienced when it comes to crafts and have lots of sensory activities up my sleeves!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love getting messy! Painting, creating, and sensory activities keep the children active and learning throughout the day! My previous teaching experience has equipped me with plenty of resources and ideas for activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I left the daycare to become a nanny because I saw a need for children to be loved and cared for on a more individual basis. I love being able to come into a child’s most comfortable space and love and care for them all day long.

My experience with special needs children...

While in school, I completed my student teaching at S.E.L.F School, a special education facility in Valparaiso. I taught in an elementary and middle school Autism classroom, as well as an adult severe and profound classroom. I also student taught at a local elementary school and shadowed two different special education teachers. I have a lot of experience with various disabilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I absolutely love when I walk through the door in the morning and the children are excited to see me! Those morning hugs make the job one hundred percent worth it!
