A great nanny not only provides daily care but also supports a child’s emotional, social, and cognitive development through play, learning activities, and positive interactions. Communication with the family is also key to ensuring consistency and meeting their expectations. Ultimately, being a nanny is about forming a meaningful connection with the child and making a positive impact on their life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when my daughter became best friends with the child I was caring for. At first, they were a little shy around each other, but within a few days, they were inseparable. They would giggle over the smallest things, hold hands during walks, and create their own little world of adventures. Whether it was building forts out of blankets, making up silly songs, or pretending to be superheroes, their bond grew stronger every day. Watching them learn from each other, share, and genuinely care for one another was heartwarming. It made my job even more special, knowing that not only was I providing care, but my daughter was gaining a lifelong friend in the process.
