Hi there! My name is Katie. I moved to NYC recently just about when the virus hit, and now I'm out of work. This might be a blessing in disguise, because it's bringing me back to something I love--caring for children. I have lots of experience babysitting, nannying, tutoring, and teaching. I'm very creative, have a good sense of humor, I'm flexible, and I really care about the children I spend time with. I've been an Arts Coordinator at an after school program, developed service-learning projects to teach Spanish in the classroom, and spent the past two years in Brazil teaching through a Fulbright grant. If you need a "homework helper" during this time, I'm your person! I make it fun. I'm also very good at just having fun with kids, thinking up non-screen related activities, and getting our imaginations going. Caregiving is an important way I feel I can give back, and I work to make it a positive experience for all members of the family.
