I am pretty funny and goofy. I enjoy a good pun, dad joke, or silly graphic t-shirt. Humor is also one of the ways I make connections with children I work with.

I like doing puzzles and reading. I am curious and outgoing. In the last few years I have started going to baseball games and learning about the sport. I also picked up playing video games, and cross stitching. I like to cross stitch projects as gifts and cat themed works. I enjoy going to concerts both with friends and solo. I started collecting puzzles and ornaments from every vacation I have taken in the last 5 years. My favorite ornament and first in the collection is a dinosaur tree topper from London.

I am passionate about my interests and my career. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and expanding my understanding of what interests me.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a Masters in Early Childhood Education and am a certified teacher in Illinois. I am also director qualified.

I have been a nanny, lead teacher in classrooms for multiple age groups, and a director.

I have also been an educational volunteer at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to playgrounds, taking walks and visiting nature areas, visiting museums, the library, various classes. I also like playing in the snow and going to the beach.

I love creating sensory activities for children, activities that allow children to strengthen their fine motor skills, activities that develop opportunities for math and science and exploration. I also enjoy cooking with children, reading, and music discovery.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Providing a safe, stimulating, and secure environment for children. I think providing quality care like that is beneficial in many ways, not just for children but also their parents. Providing this type of care shows the parents that their children are being well cared for and that you can be trusted as a caregiver.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children who had physical and language delays, behavioral disorders, autism, selective mutism, and sensory disorders.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think my favorite nanny moment was when the little girl I nanny for got a balance bike for her 3rd birthday. She is surrounded by parents and grandparents but the first words out of her mouth were "I can't wait to show taftleen."
