Hi my name is Kathrine! I'm a big people person and super spunky and adventurous. I am cpr, red-cross, and lifeguard certified. I'm a huge leader and have lead mission groups with my church, been a part of a national winning cross country team for 4 years and started 3 women's clubs around my school. I'm looking for a live in mostly full time position and can provide safe transportation for your children. I'm a big believer in helping kids to their best potential and I strive to create a safe space for them to explore new ideas, cultures and activities. I'm crazy artistic and adventurous and ideally we'd be outside going to parks or doing little art projects most of the time. Anytime I nanny I love having a great relationship with the family as I think its just as important to having a great relationship with the kids.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've been helping with kids for 4/5 years now whether it be with cousins, neighbors or other families. I've helped with a range of ages but I prefer younger toddlers, or older teens.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

arts and crafts projects, museums, library visits, farmers markets, outdoor activities, parks, hiking, finger painting, pool days, and baking

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is understanding the role you have to help the family and kids. As a nanny you have an insanely important role of helping raise young people and making sure they are not only safe and cared for but exposed to different ideas and people. A huge lesson I aim to teach the kids I look after is learning to walk with kindness and courage in all aspects. Understanding that they are little humans who are learning how to deal with big emotions is a big part of it. You are their role model and how you handle situations is how they learn to handle them so being stable enough and a good person yourself is just as important.

My experience with special needs children...

I've worked with tta kids at school throughout different classes so I have a basic understanding of how to best help and work with them. Most of my experience is helping kids specifically with autism and adhd, however I am willing to learn and eager to help with kids and families of all needs. :)
