Hello! My name is Kat and I am looking for a lovely family with children to care for! I have been working with teenagers since 2021, and have worked with preschool age children (2.5 years to 5) for the past year. I am a high energy (which tends to match the needs of children) but responsible care giver who believes in the growth, care, health, and autonomy of children. I love music and teaching which is often good for children, and have an associates degree in education (studying to be an English teacher). I am hard working, dedicated, and do well with organization, time management, and empathizing with children. I believe that children should not only be cared for, but taught important life lessons, have plenty of opportunities to have fun, and be supported so they are on track to succeed in life! I would be absolutely thrilled to find a kind and lovely family to work for, getting to know their little one(s), and do my best to provide for the family.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

At a daycare in Hamilton, NJ. I have worked with children from the ages 2.5 to 5 years old during the school year at said daycare, and have absolutely loved my time there. I taught the children through interactive play, music, and crafts! I love teaching children with hands on learning because it is fun, creative, and stimulating for the children!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing music with children such as singing, playing guitar/ukulele for them, and other musical instrument toys that the children can interact with. I love creating ideas for crafts and activities because I believe in a hands-on learning environment which will stimulate the child while teaching them and allowing their motor skills to develop. I also believe in less screen time, along with going outside quite frequently!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of caring for children is to provide them with a happy, healthy, and fun learning environment in which they are cared for. My goal when working with children is to establish a rapport with them so they feel safe and cared for at all times. I do not believe in yelling at children, but rather understanding and empathizing with them to allow for both of us to be on the same page. We were all children once, and I believe as a caregiver the most important part of the job is to understand the child in order to take care of them.
