Hi, I’m Kat! I’m a warm, nurturing, and dependable childcare professional with over 13 years of experience caring for children of all ages, from newborns to school-aged children. My experience includes private nannying, babysitting, and nursery/preschool childcare.

Most recently, I was a private nanny for a family with three girls, where I helped with daily routines, meal preparation, age-appropriate activities, and creating a safe, loving environment. I love encouraging children’s creativity, curiosity, and independence through play and everyday adventures.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 13 years of childcare experience, including private family nannying and recurring in-home childcare arrangements. I worked as a private nanny for a family with three girls, managing daily routines, developmental activities, meals, and household responsibilities. I also provided ongoing, consistent care for a family with an infant, beginning when she was just four months old, serving as their primary recurring caregiver while supporting her daily routines, feeding, development, and milestones. Through Busy Bees Babysitting, I built relationships with families and provided regular, personalized childcare, including infant and toddler care. My additional experience includes caring for my two nephews throughout their childhood and volunteering in church childcare classrooms with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love getting creative and finding fun ways to make everyday activities memorable! Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, reading, baking, imaginative play, outdoor adventures, trips to the park, and stroller walks. I especially enjoy activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and learning through play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting relationship with both the children and their parents. Children should feel safe, loved, supported, and comfortable being themselves. I also believe consistency, open communication, and respecting each family's routines and parenting style are essential to providing great care.

My experience with special needs children...

I have personal and hands-on experience with children with different developmental needs. My nephew has autism, so I've grown up understanding the importance of patience, consistency, individualized support, and meeting children where they are. I've also cared for children with Down syndrome in preschool classroom settings. I believe every child deserves to feel understood, included, encouraged, and celebrated for who they are.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my most special nanny memories was caring for a little girl from the time she was just 3 months old. Getting to watch her grow, learn to speak and walk, discover music, and start dancing was incredibly rewarding. I loved being part of those everyday milestones and knowing I played a small role in helping her grow and develop. One moment I’ll never forget was holding her in front of a mirror, pointing to her reflection and repeating her name. For the first time, she repeated it back and said her own name! Getting to witness little firsts like that is something I’ll always treasure.
