More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was in NYC school teacher in East New York for 8 years where I taught both first and second grade. I left to start my own family and relocated to Long Island.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy all educational activities with children. I also love to go on walks, or taking them to the park so they can get out in nature. Whether it is playing a sport, playing with toys or reading books, I enjoy being active with children, giving them a break from the world of electronic devices.

I care deeply about creating an environment where kids feel safe and loved — because that foundation is what allows them to explore, play, and grow with confidence.
I find so much joy in the playful moments, the silly games and spontaneous fun, because that's often where the real learning happens. Nothing is more rewarding than watching a child discover something new — whether it's learning how to read, figuring out how a puzzle works, or saying a word for the first time. Those milestones feel like magic, and getting to be present for them is a privilege.
At the heart of it, I want every child in my care to feel secure, curious, and delighted by the world around them.

My experience with special needs children...
My son was on the spectrum as a toddler. My niece and nephew are both on the spectrum. This inspired me to get a NY state teaching certification in Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2. I worked as an ABA therapist and a SEIT for over two years. My son went on to graduate with honors from college. My niece and nephew are both college graduates as well.
