The most important part about being a nanny...
Even though I am primarily experienced in (and studying) working with younger children, one of the most special moments I've had in childcare has to be being invited into an eight year old's fort. She had made it very clear from the get-go that her fort was her safe space, and that guests weren't allowed, which made the moment she asked me to join her in there while she read all the more special.
