Hi! I have been doing childcare for 7+ years and can support children from infancy through elementary school age! Most recently I was in the preschool classroom setting, focusing on language/literacy skill building - but I am looking to start fresh with a family that has an infant. I am open to supporting multiple children at once, meal prepping, and light housework. I am CPR & first aid certified, have my own car, and am flexible on start dates! I am a beginner in Spanish and Russian, but I am open to continued practice! I also love outdoorsy things (camping, hiking, biking) and would love to spend time with the child(ren) outside!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked with a mentor program for 7 years in preschool classrooms & daycare centers. We implemented programming specific to language/literacy and social/emotional development.

I also have been babysitting 17+ years (mostly for date nights) including several overnights, as a chaperone on e field trip, and even in conjunction with other families/sitters at the same time.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Depending on the age range, I love exploring! For some children this means going on an adventure to a museum or park; for other children this may be using their own toys in a new way or getting a new book from the library. Imagination games keep me on my toes!

The most important part about being a nanny...

being a stable, consistent source of encouragement for children to explore their natural curiosities. In addition, setting boundaries & sticking to routine are helpful so children feel safe & supported.

My experience with special needs children...

I have watched several children with diagnosis of ADHD, ASD, OCD, and children that have not been diagnosed, but probably need extra support in one way or another.

I don't have formal training, but I am open to supporting children that need extra support if families can provide guidance on what that looks like.
