My experience with special needs children...
I was a mentor to many children with special needs through middle school and high school. I would help with physical activities, encouraging creativity, and helping break down daily life tasks. I still keep in contact with a lot of the students that I worked with, so they know that they always have someone on their side, and I wouldn’t change those relationships for the world. As much as I give them the confidence to conquer new challenges, they make me feel purpose by being their safe space.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite memory was when I was watching 2 girls who loved cooking as much as I did, but they liked messes even more. So we decided to make cookies. I was so worried about them making a mess that I was trying to keep everything organized and leave little room for error. I then realized that a mess can be cleaned up and it’s a memory they will always get excited to tell. I stopped caring about what was happening and more about how much they were smiling. Long story short a mess was made, smiles were ear to ear, and no evidence was left behind besides the pictures I obviously showed their parents because it was adorable. The cookies also just melted all over the pan, which only made them laugh even more.

Hi! My names is Audrianna. I am a college student at the university of Kentucky. As a caring and compassionate individual, I believe I would make an excellent nanny. With my warm and nurturing personality, I would create a loving and stable environment for children to thrive. My experience raising my 2 nephews as well as being a gymnastics coach for children ages (1-15) has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and creativity in engaging with children and meeting their unique needs.
