I was once nannying for this three year old boy who kept telling me he was so afraid to get in the car because he saw a monster out his window last time. It got to the point that he screamed and cried the whole time I tried to buckle him in. His mother and I were both very confused and tried to reassure him that there was no monster. After about a week of daily car tantrums and us both trying everything to understand why he was so scared, it hit me. There was a giant inflatable dinosaur on top of a car dealership and from his angle out the window it's terrifying. So the next day him and I drove to the car dealership together to get a better look and he asked me to yell at the monster to stop scaring him. So if anyone saw a young girl screaming at a giant inflatable... it was me. In the end he's no longer scared and thinks I am a monster tamer.
