Hi! My name is Katy, I’m 24 years old and I’m from Waxhaw, NC. I’ve been babysitting for 8-9 years, I was a summer camp counselor for 4 years, a afterschool/daycare counselor for about a year, and I have 2 years of experience as a Special Needs Teachers Assistant in UCPS elementary schools. I was also a nanny for two summers. I absolutely love working with children and fostering a welcoming, loving, and nurturing environment for them to grow in. I love sports and being active, I love music and art (so your kiddos and I can sing all of the songs while doing so fun crafts), and I love animals, so I’ll be very comfortable with your pets! The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, being a nanny is more than just showing up and watching the kids. It’s fostering relationships with the children and families, it’s being a mentor or safe space for them and a helping hand that blends seamlessly with family dynamics, someone to help lighten the load. I love being silly and having fun, which I think is important in creating relationships and encouraging kids to open up and be themselves.
