More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a Child and Youth Program Assistant with Child and Youth Services (CYS), I provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow. My responsibilities include supervising children, implementing age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, supporting children’s social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development, and assisting with daily routines such as meals, diapering, toileting, naps, and transitions. I maintain a clean, organized classroom, follow all CYS health and safety standards, and communicate effectively with families and team members to support each child’s individual needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy creating fun, engaging, and educational experiences for children of all ages. Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, sensory play, reading books, outdoor adventures, music and movement, imaginative play, puzzles, educational games, and age-appropriate science or learning activities. I also enjoy encouraging independence through hands-on activities while making sure every child feels included, supported, and has fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting relationship with both the children and their families. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, loved, respected, and understood. My goal is to provide dependable care while creating meaningful experiences that support each child’s growth, development, and happiness.

My experience with special needs children...

Through my education in Family Science and Human Services and my experience with Child and Youth Services (CYS), I have learned the importance of meeting each child where they are and adapting care to support their individual needs. I strive to provide a patient, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels safe, respected, and encouraged. I work closely with families to understand each child’s routines, strengths, and preferences so I can provide the best possible care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments is seeing a child gain confidence after learning something new. Whether it’s hearing a child laugh during play, watching them master a new skill, or seeing them proudly accomplish a goal they’ve been working toward, those moments remind me why I love working with children. Knowing I’ve helped create a positive and supportive environment is incredibly rewarding.
