More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

During my time volunteering at a local community center, I had the opportunity to work with preschoolers and year later tutor kindergarten students. My initial role involved assisting in a preschool classroom, where I supported teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners. As I transitioned to tutoring kindergarten students, I focused on enhancing their literacy and numeracy skills through one-on-one sessions. I tailored my approach to to meet each child's unique needs, helping them build confidence and love for learning.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts, story time, outdoor playing, music and dance, puzzles and board games, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with the children and their families. Some key elements of this relationship involve communication, safety and responsibility, empathy and understanding, flexibility and creativity, etc.

My experience with special needs children...

One summer I volunteered at a local camp designed for children with special needs. My role involved supporting campers with diverse abilities in various activities, such as arts and crafts, swimming, and outdoor games. One of my key responsibilities was to provide one-on-one assistance to children who required additional support. I developed tailored strategies to help each child engage with the activities, ensuring they felt included and valued. Through this experience, i learned the importance of patience, empathy, and adaptability. This role deepened my understanding of different learning styles and the significance of individualized support.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments happened during a summer afternoon with two energetic siblings. After some outdoor play, we decided to cool down inside with a craft project. I had brought along some supplies to make friendship bracelets, which I thought they might enjoy. I showed them how to weave the threads together. At first they were a bit tangled, and there were plenty of giggles over our initial attempts. But soon, they began to get the hang of it, and their creativity really shone through. Once they completed their bracelets, we decided to have a little "fashion show" to model our creations. The laughter and excitement was apparent. It was heartwarming to see how proud they were of what they'd made.
