Hi, my name is kaydawnah and I have a few years experience with working with kids 4 and under. I've worked in three days cares and was a nanny for about six months back in 2018. My primary focus with the kids is helping them reach age appropriate mile stones and help them discover the world around them safely. I love animals and adventures and I don't mind light house work. I was a teacher for 0-6yr in 2018 at my highschool daycare. I was a nanny from june 2018- January 2019. The kids being 4,2,1, and newborn
I was an assistant daycare teacher for ages 3-4 and substitute with the 2 year old in 2019

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to the park or a splash pad.
I enciuarge going on walks and having the kids help me find things they find beautiful (leaves,flowers, sticks)
I really enjoy doing crafts And art projects.
I like playing games that kids come up with and supporting their imagination.
I'm really good at building forts and reading to kids.
I often do a physical activity either jumping jacks or dancing along with singing and laughing.

My experience with special needs children...

All through jr high and highschool I was peer tutor, since then I have done health care in adults with special needs.

While my experience in this particular instance is a little less as someone who is on the spectrum I am really good at understanding the extra things a child might need or struggle to communicate.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had this really sweet 9month old who would get excited when my shift would start. He would always boot scoot to the door when he heard me talking
One day my shift started in the middle of nap time so I snuck in the room to relive my partner. When the baby woke up and saw me he let out the cutest noise and pushed his face and hands to bed end. When I picked him up he tried to give me a kiss on the nose like his mother would do to him. My heart absolutely melted. I began to sing softly to him and he he would coo and make noises back trying to make the sounds I was. I loved watching him try new sounds and learn how to use his vocal cords. Singing with him became a regular activity.
