A little bit about me

I’ve been working with children all my life- after graduating from The Evergreen State College (2015) I worked at an in home daycare over the summer. I was mainly in charge of the infants, but also helped with the older kiddos (2years-6 years) as needed. After that, I worked with autistic kiddos doing ABA for 3 years. That was one of my favorite jobs, but also very exhausting with little compensation, so I decided to leave for something more low effort to me. I worked at a public daycare where I started in the infants, but due to staffing issues, was bumped to the 2 year old class. I has a blast doing arts and crafts with them, integrating learning into natural environment play/teaching- it was such a blast! I then worked as a para in a SpEd preschool for 2 years until covid hit, which is when I left. I’ve been a nanny ever since, for 4 different families, ages range from infant to 3yo. Once my current kiddo goes to preschool early next year, I’ll be looking for a new family to help 😊

I enjoy hands on learning experiences, whether it's baking or making playdoh or a walk around the neighborhood to observe nature. We don't have very many plastic noisy toys around and most of our toys are open ended to encourage imaginative play.
