A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Kayla and I’m 24 living in Moreno Valley. I’m extremely calm, very kind, thoughtful, and creative (so I love to do crafts). I’m looking for a job working with kiddos because I found im naturally good with kids. My first job I had the opportunity to work with kids was at an indoor playground called Kids Empire. I was keyholder / party host and I loved it but the hours weren’t enough. I was responsible for the cleanliness, safety, and fun for the facility when management was not around. My current job, I also work with kids but they dont offer many hours either. I’m an after school program leader for about 15-25 kids daily. I ensure they have snack time, academic hour (homework help), spark (PE) and enrichment (sensory enriching activities). I work with kids from grades tk-2nd grade and I’m comfortable tutoring for those grades as well. Overall, I just want to see the kiddos happy, healthy, and having fun. Outdoor activities such as soccer, hula hoops, basketball. Indoor activities like, playtime, legos, dolls, or crafts (I love anything art related). However with my experience I’m able to provide thought out “lesson” plans for indoor and outdoor activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is to make sure the kids are happy, healthy, and safe. I work my hardest everyday to make sure the kiddos I work with currently are happy. If they’re happy then I am too 😊

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had around three years of experience with special needs adults ranging from ages 18- 25 however not much experience with special needs kids. Willing to learn and closely follow a prepared plan/ schedule.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I wouldn’t say I was a nanny at this time, as I was just babysitting my cousins kids for free but, I love the joy that kids bring. They’re always so joyful and the energy rubs off. I was baby sitting my cousins kids Ethan, and we watched guardians of the galaxy, ALOT. It was his favorite so after awhile he would pick up traits from the movie and he would start saying “I’m Ethan” in groots voice. It became a running joke and whenever he would get dropped off our greetings would be “I am Ethan” and I’d respond “I am Kayla” and he would laugh so hard. This is just one of those fond memories that makes me smile and laugh.
