I’m Kay!

And I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside many families for over 15 years ranging from newborn to pre-teens and special needs!

I recently finished my last contract job working for the most amazing mom who is a full time CRNA and her sweet boy since birth!

I’m ready to find the next amazing family to join for a year or more, again!

Though I have my own small business, my heart has always been with children. Especially with special needs and disability. I also work part time as a client relations manager for a nanny agency!

I’ve always been surrounded by children! The women in my family have worked with children ranging from pediatrics to teaching. Along with many disability… My whole life has been combined with helping in ever background.

I’m open to talking with any family and their specific needs. I’m also a great household manager as my goal is to help parents as well!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

After school teacher, special education, church and camps, long term contracted nanny for over 10 families over the last 15 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Educational fun games, reading, audio books, walks to the park, lunch dates, helping with homework, puzzles, arts, singing and dancing movie nights and trips to the zoo and children’s museum!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating a bond that allows a child to feel safe with you and a trust with the family to always have their child’s best interest as your number one.

My experience with special needs children...

My last family I worked with was with two sons specifically the youngest who is autistic and legally blind. I worked closely with his school teachers and assisted teachers to continue his growth and learning in home. This was through Covid and I became his in home teacher overnight where I taught all his regular classes, worked on mobility, speech, Braille and behavioral.
I’ve also worked with families in the past with children all across the spectrum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Watching my little guy bloom so confidently through the shutdowns. By working one on one everyday for hours (but making it fun) my guy had no fear going back into the world with his cane learning directions, taking off with math and moving to the top of his class all while learning to do it in his head. Starving for reading tine and never wanting to end. And excelling at Braille beyond myself. I believe when children have someone who is truly committed to seeing their potential and not placing them in a box, they truly take off 🤍
