Working as a CNA I give hands on care to residents and assist with all daily living activities. I have volunteered as a Peer Student Leader and worked with special needs students in a classroom setting. I have also volunteered at my local hospital in the NICU. I have consistently baby sat for a family for over a year working with 3 children ages 10 months, 4 years old, and 7 years old.

My favorite activity to do with children is listen to music and dance. It promotes activity & is also very fun. I like going on walks, to the park, reading & engaging in activities the children enjoy.

The most important part about being a nanny is keeping the children safe and happy. I want the children to have fun and engage in different activities that make them happy but I always want them to be safe and continue learning new things.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with autistic children and physically disabled children in a classroom setting which included helping with work and reading. Currently in my job as a CNA I am working with adult residents who have many different diagnoses. I work with residents with dementia, parkinson’s and epilepsy. I help with feedings, bathing, and other day living activities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment with my nanny kids was when the two oldest boys introduced me to their new baby brother for the first time. They were so excited for me to meet him and were teaching me all about how to take care of him. They were so interested and were showing such a gentle nature that I had never seen from them before it was very sweet.
