Hi there! My name is Kealani and I absolutely love working with children! My background experience with children consist of being a Nanny, Teachers Assistant at a daycare, and working as a camp counselor for a summer camp in Pasco County for the past three years. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy playing board games and card games! I can even bring a few of my own if approved by parent(s). I love to cook, so on a rainy day why not have a fun little chef it up day? We can do some arts and crafts as well! As for outside, I enjoy playing with them at a local neighborhood park or even watch them play in the yard. I’m not shy when it comes to engaging in their own games that they want to play. While playing with children, their safety is my priority so I am always multitasking.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moment is an achievement. One of the three children I was caring for was two years old at the time. The toddler still wore diapers and for the first month or two would not let me change their diaper at all. The parents warned me that if this were the case, the older siblings (9 & 10) know how to change the diaper and could do it for me. It took time for me to gain the little one’s trust when it came to changing their diaper, but when I finally got in my first diaper change without the help of the older siblings I couldn’t help but get so excited! “AT LAST!” I thought to myself as I was smiling so big while changing the soiled diaper. From then on, siblings weren’t really called upon for diaper changing. Just once in a blue moon. Being patient and finally earning that trust was such a great feeling.
