What I know about how to care for your child
Your child may need a 5 minute, 2 minute, or 1 minute warning before there is a change of activity. When saying you have 5 minutes don’t wait 5 minutes wait two minutes and then say you have two minutes. You don’t have to wait the whole 5 minutes. This helps a child feel more in control without controlling us. Set your boundaries, stick to them, and follow through. Always using the words FIRST/THEN. First we will clean up, then we can go to the park.Depending on your needs and your child's skill set, you can either do this verbally, use pictures, or write items on a dry erase board..rewarding positive behavior, and just focusing on what you want the child to do not what you want them to stop doing. I have learned a lot by working with different families

Babysitter Available in Nashville, TN: Madden R.
Hi! My name is Madden, I am from Northeast Arkansas, and went to the University of Arkansas for the past three years. This past December I was accepted into the University of Tennessee’s online bachelor of social work program, and began classes this fall! I moved to Nashville in June of this year, and have been looking for a consistent job. I would need specific hours for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays due to class. I recently picked up needlepointing, and I love to go for walks and workout! I worked as a child care worker in school watching Pre-K students before and after school. I also frequently babysat for parents at the primary school, and was, and can re-gain my CPR and First-Aid certifications. I love kids, and hope to make families lives easier in any way I can! Thanks!
Full-Time Nanny Available in Nashville, TN: Abijah H.
I’m a caring and dependable Nanny and Family Manager who genuinely enjoys helping families feel supported, organized, and a little less overwhelmed in their everyday lives. My background includes childcare, family assistance, birth and postpartum doula support, as well as yoga, nutrition, and wellness, which have shaped my nurturing and whole-family approach to care. I love creating a warm environment where children feel safe, respected, encouraged to be independent, and free to be themselves. My experience serving in the U.S. Air Force has also strengthened my reliability, adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to stay calm and organized in busy situations. Most importantly, I strive to become a trusted extension of the family—someone parents can depend on and children can feel comfortable, supported, and happy with.

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Nashville, TN: Sloane Q.
Hello, my name is Sloane and I am 20 years old and am very interested in being your sitter. I have 2 years experience as a babysitter, during which I was an after school sitter for two different families, for children from pre-school through the 1st grade. I am also a former pre k teacher so I can help with homework, as requested. I also have my own car and a clean driving record, so picking up your kiddos would not be a problem.
I am very loving, patient and outgoing and love having activities that children will find entertaining. Babysitting is something I love doing because everyday is different and new and it’s amazing being part of a child learning and growing as a person. I look forward to hearing from you.

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Nashville, TN: Lexi P.
Hi, my name is Lexi. I’m a 24 year old with lots of experience working and caring for tiny humans. I received my bachelor’s degree in developmental childhood psychology and a certification in early childhood education from Lycoming College. I have worked with children since I was 12 and I have professionally worked with children since I was 18. In college I did my internship at the local preschool in the area and I got my field experience at the Williamsport Middle School in Muncy, PA. During the summer months, while I was still in school, I worked as a teacher’s aid for Our Savior Lutheran Academy here in Nashville. Upon graduating college I was lead teacher for 7th and 8th grade reading and writing at KIPP Academy. I now have realized I enjoy a much more hands on experience with students and children. I am looking for a job that feels more like gaining a bonus family. I put my all into my work and I’m excited to see where this path will lead. Hopefully I’m a great fit for your family
