Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered at my school's drop in daycare. It is a part of CFCC, right where my school is connected to. I volunteered there to help with all the children there, usually around 10-12 kids, all ranging from ages 8 to a few months. I would play with them, help teachers with helping feed the babies, do snack times, help with nap times, and help any children who wanted bathroom breaks. Also on the side, I would watch my neighbor's toddler while her and her husband worked in their separate rooms.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Coloring, playing dress up, playing outside, doing arts and crafts, helping children with homework, getting to know them, and mainly anything they'd like to do as long as it follows what rules there are.

Knowing what's best for the child and to keep in mind of the parents wishes. You have to respect both parties or else it'll be a complete mess.
