More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I bring extensive experience in childcare, having worked with several nanny families over the years, where I cared for children of varying ages and needs. I've also spent time in a daycare setting, where I managed groups of children, balancing educational play and personal care for each child. Additionally, I ran my own babysitting business as a teenager, which taught me responsibility, time management, and the importance of building trust with both children and parents. These experiences have shaped my skills in creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy a mix of creative and educational activities with children, such as arts and crafts, baking, reading, and hands-on science projects that spark curiosity. I also love spending time outdoors whether it’s going on nature walks, playing games, or exploring playgrounds. I believe these activities not only keep kids engaged and active but also help them learn new skills, build confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive environment.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting, nurturing bond with each child. I believe that creating a safe and loving environment helps children feel secure and confident, which supports their growth and development. Beyond meeting their daily needs, I’m committed to fostering curiosity, encouraging creativity, and being a positive role model, so children thrive both emotionally and socially.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum and children with sensory processing challenges. I’ve learned to be patient, adaptable, and attentive to each child’s individual needs and communication styles. I make sure to create a structured and calm environment, using activities that encourage growth and cater to their unique strengths. My goal is always to support their development while fostering independence and confidence.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I helped a shy toddler I cared for blossom into a confident little artist. We started with simple coloring sessions, and over time, he grew excited about expressing himself through painting and drawing. Watching his confidence grow as he proudly shared his artwork with his parents was incredibly rewarding, and it reminded me of the impact I can have in encouraging each child’s unique strengths and creativity.
