I believe the most important thing about being a nanny is the love and understanding I show children. Regardless if they’ve had a great day or a day full of fits and meltdowns, for them to feel love and support outside the traditional “home unit” is something that leaves a lasting impact.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the sweetest moments, that happened more than once, was with a child I nannied from 6 months to two years old. He was such a sweet little bug and we spent so much time together. He was absolutely obsessed with trash trucks. Every single Monday morning, he would wake up from his nap and we’d rush to the front door to watch this monstrous trash truck use its giant metal arms to grab the trash cans and dip them over into the back of it. Every single time was as if we’d never seen it before. Truly the sweetest, most simple things are magic.
