More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I currently love, care for and provide early childhood developmental education to 12 little ones who’s ages range from 3 months old to 2 years old and every age in between. I feel as if it’s time to put more individualized care, love, and attention into much fewer children as I aim to really impact and make a difference in a child’s life as well as the family as a whole. I’ve been a nanny, coach, special needs specialist and tutor to children of all ages and backgrounds.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I have tutored young ones in letters, shapes, colors, math, English, and history. I know every nursery rhyme song from working at a day care so if it’s singing to your baby.. I got it down pat.. I have become a well known customer at get air.. ( a trampoline park here in Billings) as I took 4 kids I previously nannied for to jump with on the daily, I have loved to take kids to museums, parks, pools, water slide parks, spontaneous educational adventures through the backyard with a fun and creative approach to learning and experiencing the good ol outdoors, restaurants, and plays. I have built forts, played board games, cards, I have conducted science experiments with children at the kitchen table, have directed and put on plays with my little one for there friends, families and neighbors.. lemonade stands, jump rope, hide and go seek, dance parties, ... you name it.. I’ve done it, loved it, and have always made learning FUN and a part of each activity
The most important part about being a nanny...
My drive and passion for nannying and caring for children comes from the impact of those who put extra effort, time, energy and attention in to me when I was young. I just found my third grade teacher on Facebook and messaged him explaining the impact and role he had on me when I was young that have lasted a lifetime. I was lucky to have babysitters, caregivers and teachers who made a real lasting difference and positive impact on who I was and who I am today!
My experience with special needs children...
I not only have a father, uncle and two younger cousins with autism.. I have also nannied for children with special needs. I nannied for an amazing young boy with many early childhood developmental challenges and delays as well as having a sensory and stimulation disorder. I have taken care of twins with down syndrome and cared for a young adult with torrents syndrome .. I love and enjoy the rewards of working with such individuals and think of it as a privilege and an honor as they teach me and help me far more than I think I do to them!!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was back in 2008 .. I was living in california and nannying for an amazing family who now has 5 boys but at the time had one who I cared for before he could even talk and received a video via text from his mom of him responding “Kelsey “to her questions .. like “who do you love?” And he shouted “Kelsey”... who do you have fun with?” “Kelsey”... etc. it melted my heart
