A little bit about me

Hi I’m Kelsey! Most of my work experience has been working in child care. I’ve been a nanny, worked in daycare, after school programs and I’ve even volunteered in special needs classrooms. I have experience working with children of all ages. From newborns to teenagers. I’d also typically be in charge of about 20-30 kids at a time so I am well equip to handle chaos! I get along with children very well and I am still close with many of the families I have worked for in the past. The only criticism I’ve received was from an 8 year old boy who said I was “the worst babysitter ever because you actually make us go to bed at our bedtime.” Also apparently I’m not as good at video games as other babysitters. So unless you need a nanny that can win a game of super smash bros than I think I could be the perfect fit for your family!

I worked for the YMCA for two years. I worked in the summer camps as well as the after school programs. I also volunteered at an elementary school mainly working in special needs classrooms.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being outside and going to parks with the kids. But I also love spending a rainy day indoors making arts and crafts!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I know it’s corny but have fun! I enjoy being a nanny because the job is so much fun. As much as we are there to make sure the children are safe and taken care of we are also entertainers. If you can’t have fun than you won’t be a very good entertainer.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite thing to do is have dance parties with the kids. Those are always my favorite moments because kids allow themselves to be free and dance however they feel like dancing. It allows me to have that same freedom and I really could jump and twirl around with them for hours. It’s also a great way to get the kids energy out on days we can’t go play outside.
