I have six years of volunteer experience working with children ranging from kindergarten to eight grade. I helped with a theater program in my school district, during this time I was part of the staff that entertained children during the time they were off stage and during practices as well. I was also part of a youth cheerleading program my senior year of high school which consisted of coaching a group of second graders during a three month span.
My experience with special needs children...
I was part of the LINKS program all four years of high school. In this program I was paired with another student with learning or physical disabilities for an hour and a half each day. By doing so I was able to learn more about the needs those with special needs and how to accommodate to those needs as well. I also have volunteer experience working with many different a children through a kids theater program that I was part of during high school and part of middle school as well.
