A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Kendall, and I’m a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I’ve also worked as an assistant teacher, nanny, and babysitter, which has given me a well-rounded and caring approach to childcare.

I’m comfortable supporting kids with daily routines, communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs, and I always try to meet each child where they are. My caregiving style is very patient, warm, and playful—I love doing crafts, playing games, spending time outside, and creating a safe space where kids feel happy and supported.

I value kindness, consistency, and open communication with parents, and I take pride in being someone families can trust. I’m CPR/First Aid trained and truly love working with children. I’d be happy to support your family with ongoing care, after-school help, or respite care.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience working with children in multiple settings, including clinical environments, one-on-one care, and group supervision. As an RBT, I provide direct care to children while supporting behavior plans, daily routines, learning goals, and emotional regulation. I also have experience assisting with meals, hygiene, playtime, educational activities, and maintaining a safe, structured environment tailored to each child’s needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging children in creative and hands-on activities such as arts and crafts, imaginative play, reading, outdoor play, and simple learning games. I also enjoy helping with homework, practicing life skills, and encouraging independence in age-appropriate ways. I always aim to balance fun with structure, making activities both enjoyable and meaningful.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is building trust. Children need to feel safe, understood, and supported, and parents need to feel confident that their child is in caring, capable hands. I believe consistency, communication, patience, and genuine care are the foundation of excellent childcare.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs through my role as a Registered Behavior Technician. I am trained in behavior management, emotional regulation, communication support, and individualized care plans. I approach every child with patience, empathy, and understanding, and I am comfortable adapting routines and activities to meet each child’s unique needs while ensuring they feel supported and valued.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are when a child reaches a milestone they’ve been working hard on—whether it’s learning a new skill, gaining confidence, or simply feeling comfortable and safe enough to express themselves. Seeing a child light up with pride reminds me why I love working with children and being part of their growth.

Madison H. - Seeking Work in Austin

Live-In Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Austin, TX: Madison H.

Hey my name is Madison I like going by Maddie, I recently moved to the Austin area from Galveston, although I don’t have experience babysitting professionally I have 2 younger siblings I would look after most of the time such as picking them up from school and make them a snack afterwords and helping them with their home work. When we would finish all their homework we would go to the nearby park and I would let them run around to get their energy out and occasionally join in if they ask me too and I always join them. I would also help my aunt with her 3 son whenever her and her husband wanted a date night although they were a bit tougher to handle I eventually figured out how to get them to listen and all I had to do was take them to the park let them get energy out get home make something for them to eat out on their favorite movie and fixed them an area on the couch for them to get comfortable and they were out like a light some kids just take a little more patience.
