Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Nature walks and outdoor exploration, trips to parks and playgrounds, arts and crafts, sensory activities, reading books together, baking and cooking, science experiments, scavenger hunts, imaginative play, building with blocks and loose parts, music and movement, gardening, library visits, water play, and hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity and creativity.
I especially enjoy creating meaningful learning opportunities through play rather than worksheets, helping children build confidence, problem-solving skills, social-emotional skills, and a love of learning through everyday experiences.

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting relationship with both the children and their family. Children thrive when they feel safe, valued, understood, and cared for. While parents are away, I strive to provide a warm, consistent, and nurturing presence where children feel supported and encouraged to be themselves.
I also believe communication and trust with parents are essential. Every family is different, and I value working together to support each child's individual needs. My goal is not only to care for children, but to become a dependable part of a family's support system and help create positive memories and meaningful experiences along the way.

My experience with special needs children...
Throughout my career in Early Childhood Education, I have worked with children with a variety of developmental, behavioral, emotional, and special needs. My experience includes supporting children with ADHD, sensory sensitivities, autism-related needs, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, trauma-related behaviors, and children receiving services through IEPs and other support programs.
I have worked with children who struggled with transitions, separation anxiety, communication challenges, and big emotions. While these situations can be challenging, I believe every child is unique and deserves patience, understanding, and individualized support. I focus on building strong relationships, working closely with families, and helping children feel safe, successful, and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments are the ones when I realize a child truly feels safe with me. It might be when they reach for my hand, run to tell me exciting news, ask me to read one more story, or come to me when they're having a hard day. Those moments tell me that trust and connection have been built.
I love watching children grow, learn, and gain confidence, but what means the most to me is knowing they feel secure, valued, and cared for while we are together. Building those relationships is my favorite part of being a nanny. When a child knows they are safe, understood, and supported, everything else tends to fall into place.
