A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Kendra & I'm a loving mother. I've been a stay at home mom for the last 6 years but my youngest just started Kindergarten. I loved being home with her so much I figured why not offer my services to another family in need of childcare. My schedule is flexible but I'm always available Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm. I'm energetic and love to do age appropriate arts and crafts as well as learning games. I have experience with Littles not only as being a Mom, but I also worked for different families through out the years as well as a daycare. The owner and some of the families are references of mine. I love being around children. They are just so much fun and imaginative. Ideally I would love to provide the childcare in my home. Obviously you would more than welcome to come check it out. If you have a baby or toddler I am more than willing to help with them hitting their milestones as well as potty training. I hope to hear from you.

"Kendra was with my family from the time my daughter was born and my son was 3, up until my daughter turned 12. She was amazing with them when they were small, helping them with learning their ABCs, colors and how to write their name. She was very well organized and kept a well thought out schedule with my children. One that fit perfectly for my time as well. Both my children loved her like she was family and still do. She was extremely dependable, she was always on time and never canceled. The kids really enjoyed her company as well. She was amazing with them. When they were school age she helped with their homework in the evening and even helped when they were having a bad day or a argument with a friend . More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I'm a Mom of five children but as well as that I have worked in a daycare for a few years and the owner is actually one of my references. There I was the one who cared for the Newborn to 1 yr Olds. I also babysat for different families from the time I was 15 to 18 before going to the daycare. Since then I've also worked with different families and children's from newborns all the way to 15. I myself do have a 17 year old as well though. So I'm very familiar and comfortable with children if all ages. I have and am willing to give the numbers of those references.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

For babies I like to make sure they are getting their tummy time each day and hitting each of their milestones. I love doing age appropriate arts and crafts with children. I like to make sure they get outside time especially if the weather is nice out. Learning games and board goes are also some of the things we like to play. I also like to help kids write and makeup their own stories. Kids have the best imaginations and I love to nurture that in anyway I can.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me about being a childcare provider is that the children know I'm someone who they can trust and that they are safe number one. Once their trust is earned with children I then find the respect will follow. Children tend to mimick behavior so if you come at them with frustration then your very likely to get frustration back. Children are just learning how to control their emotions and they learn from us. The adults in their lives. I want to have a postive impact in any child's life I'm in. I want them to know if their parents aren't around they can always trust me because I will come through. I've always been good with children since I was a young and as I've matured and had children of my own I've learned what works and what doesn't. What they respond to and what they shut down to. So trust and safety are the most important things about being a Nanny to me.
