A little bit about me

I available for M-F very flexible with hours as needed ( I am alway able to come in early or stay late if needed) . I also cover date nights. My sons are 16 and 18 ( they attend high school and have activities after school, I have a generous support system for them to make sure I am always there for your family . I am prompt and do not take days off unless advance notice is given. Before my children were born I was a segment producer at ABC. I was a stay at home mom and loved hosting play dates. When they started school I became a teachers aid working with grades K-6 & children with special needs. I have a great deal of experience with children. As a nanny in addition to child care I ran errands cleaned laundry & any household needs. I graduated Ramapo College with honors Major communications Minors early childhood education and child psychology. I have taken CPR and first aid classes. I am interested in a permanent long term position with a family. I have developed a system with the parents & children I have worked with that has been very successful. I hope to meet you and expand on the information I have provided. Choosing a care giver for your child is a very difficult decision & I feel the communication & the connection developed is 2 of the most important things to establish to set you at ease that you have made the right choice. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a teachers aid at Clarendon Grammar School for 1st to 6th grade. I would help redirect children , small groups that were falling behind & in any activity the teacher needed assistance with.

I volunteered to coach my sons soccer teams from age 5 to age 8. This was a great way to spend time with my kids get to know their friends and exercise all at the same time . I had a practice every week for an hour and a half & games were every Saturday. I would have a party at the end of every season and purchase the children a small award . It was very rewarding .

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like doing activities with the children during down (when homework & chores are complete) time such as taking them to the park, Zoo & public library. I always have a new craft to make on hand. I also love to take pictures of the kids to give to the parents as a weekly diary of the children’s days .

The most important part about being a nanny...

Communication between Nanny & parents. Knowing the parents needs & positions on situations that gives you the tools to best serve them & their children .

My experience with special needs children...

While I was a teachers aid at Clarendon Elementary School I was a teachers aid for children with special needs. I was given the opportunity to learn a great deal about different types of learning as well as speech development, physical development & over tools to use when interacting with a child on a one on one basis with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are when the children smile at me . When I’m given cards they made themselves or crafts also when they hug me or tell me how much they like having me as their Nanny.
