Getting kids to be kids is my main goal. I do a lot of looking through Pinterest for new ideas. At my last job my favorite activities were making crafts and getting kids active (made up games, yoga, dancing). Education is just as important to me and I keep myself busy finding the best ways kids observe information that sticks with them all the way to adulthood.

Creating small strong minds that become successful adults in the future is my goal for every child I work with. I see so much importance in guiding children through emotions so as adults they have an easier time processing the bigger problems that come with life. Imagine a child’s current issue could really be their biggest problem in life at that moment and giving them tools and an ear helps them become more understanding of how to handle these emotions, so when the bigger adult emotions and problems come into life they have that strong foundation that is built in to guide them.
My experience with special needs children...
My mom worked at a school which gave me an amazing opportunity to help out a kindergarten class. My job in that class was to be a personal help for this boy who had Down syndrome. From that experience I can say working with children who have special needs is something I know comes easily to me more than others.
