A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Kiara Greenwood. I attended and graduated from Sacramento State, which is where I received my bachelor’s degree in child development. After graduating, in 2021, I obtained a position as a preschool teacher at Kinder World Preschool and Child Care and remained a teacher there for the following 2 years. I enjoy being in a teaching role, within a classroom, because I can directly support children throughout their journey towards developmental milestones. Teaching in a classroom provides me with the opportunity to be apart of a team and help guide children on their path to success. My passion is helping children reach their potential by challenging students to be curious and encouraging them to take chances when learning. I am also devoted to providing an interactive, fun, and loving environment where children can learn and grow safely.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Most of my experience comes from working as a preschool teacher at 3 different childcare centers. I also worked in a preschool classroom, as head teacher, in an elementary school for a short period of time. After working for the district, I made a pick realization that I preferred working with smaller groups of children as well as spending majority of the day learning through play and focusing on child-directed activities.

I absolutely love doing art projects, science experiments, and outdoor exploration activities the most with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is building a trusting relationship with the bride family. I think that you bond much better with families and children as you hike trust. Once that trust is built you are able to comfortably meet all the family’s needs and build a loving, caring, and nurturing relationship with the children.
