Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I used to babysit (ages 6M-5Y) during my high school years. As an adult I have worked in summer camps and after school programs where I care for, watch over and engage the children daily for 8+ hours. The children's ages range from 0Y-13Y. I have experience working with teenagers as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoor art activities such as painting, perler beads, drawing, crafting, etc. Outdoor activities such as soccer, code breaker, tag, kickball, etc.

The most important part of being a nanny (or any role working with children) is to care for, protect and nurture the children that are under my care regardless of how long I will care for them. Right after that is having fun!

I have worked with children across the spectrum e.g. ADHD, autism (high functioning and low), down syndrome, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my kids on the spectrum had an ongoing struggle to complete his homework. And I mean the tantrums, lying and meltdowns type of struggle. Once I started working with him one on one,we eventually got to the point where he would pull his homework out with no prompting and would even hurry me along to homework time! At the end of the year he thanked me for helping and believing in him by making me a silly card and giving me a big hug. Still one of my favorite memories!
