A little bit about me

My name is Kiana. I am a 23 year old Registered Nurse who works in a step down ICU. As someone who loves people of all ages, I’m looking for the opportunity to work with kids. My hospital only provides care for adults so having time on the side with little ones would surely add excitement to my life. I do not have any children. I do have beautiful nieces and nephews who I have cared for but unfortunately do not see often due to their father being in the military. I currently work full time during night shift, and mostly weekends. I am available some weekdays during the after noon and some during night. However I am flexible as long not to interfere with with my work schedule.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My personal nanny experience is limited to my nieces and nephews. Thankfully as a registered nurse I have completed multiple clinical rotations that allowed me to gain skill and experience with children. This includes shifts in units including labor and delivery, mother and baby, neonatal ICU, and pediatric ICU. I have also completed volunteer work at schools and head start centers where I enjoyed caring for and learning from little ones. I am CPR, first aid, and BLS certified as to provide fun and safe care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I personally love arts and crafts as I participated in art contests throughout high school and continue painting on my free time. Children have amazing imaginations making them the best people to enjoy my hobby with. Games and puzzles are are also fun as they require problem solving, team work, and provide a sense of accomplishment. I enjoy learning new games as well as sharing the ones I know. In my free time I like to move including going to the gym, learning dances, or going outside to walk my dog. Caring for an active child with energy will be an excitement for me. Other activities I enjoy with children include reading, learning, trying easy cooking recipes, and more.
