More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In addition to babysitting for many years, I worked at a therapeutic day center for children with autism, where I supported children with a variety of developmental and behavioral needs. I also volunteer in my local church's nursery, caring for infants and young children. Growing up with three younger brothers gave me hands-on childcare experience from an early age. My dad and stepmom also fostered children while I was growing up, which gave me the opportunity to help care for children from a variety of backgrounds and taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and providing a safe, loving environment.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning activities that are fun, engaging, and age-appropriate. Some of my favorites include reading books, arts and crafts, coloring, building with blocks, sensory play, puzzles, and educational games. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's going for walks, playing at the park, blowing bubbles, or exploring nature. I love taking children on fun outings, such as visiting aquariums, science centers, libraries, zoos, and local parks, where they can learn through hands-on experiences. With babies, we can enjoy tummy time, singing songs, reading, and helping them reach developmental milestones through play. For older children, I enjoy baking, simple science experiments, board games, helping with homework, and encouraging imaginative play. My goal is to create a safe, positive environment where children can have fun, learn, and build confidence while making lasting memories.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where children feel supported and valued. Every child is unique, and I strive to meet them where they are by encouraging their growth, independence, and confidence while providing patience, consistency, and kindness. I also believe strong communication with parents is essential. Working as a team helps ensure children receive the best possible care and allows families to feel confident that their child is happy, safe, and well cared for.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs through my time at a therapeutic day center for children with autism. In this role, I supported children with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and communication needs while helping create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment. This experience taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and adapting my approach to meet each child's unique needs.
I also know a good amount of basic American Sign Language (ASL). While I'm not fluent or able to carry on full conversations, I know many common signs that are especially helpful for babies and young children, such as "more," "all done," "eat," "drink," "please," "thank you," "help," and other everyday words.
Every child deserves to feel understood, supported, and included, and I'm committed to providing patient, compassionate care while continuing to learn and grow as a caregiver.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments are watching children reach new milestones and knowing I had the privilege of being part of those special memories. Whether it's seeing a baby roll over, crawl, take their first steps, say a new word, or watching an older child master a new skill they've been working hard on, those moments never get old. I also love the little everyday moments—reading stories together, hearing their laughter, celebrating their accomplishments, and seeing their personalities shine. Building a trusting relationship with a child and watching their confidence grow is the most rewarding part of being a caregiver.
